The first third of October is nearly under our belt, in another 20 days it will be “Hallows Eve, Eve.” And then comes November, with delights such as Dia de los Muertos(!!!) and Thanksgiving aka Native-American Eye-Rolling Day!!!! We are in the thick of the holiday season, and more importantly: PUMPKIN PIE SPICE FLAVORED PRODUCTS PRIME TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve got some new pumpkin spice flavored goodies that I’ve come across in my scouring and I’ve decided to share them with you! Of course, I’ll also be throwing in my usual no cents (hey-ooo!)
First up, the Rooster texted me a pic of these and I instantly went out and purchased a bag. It’s Kraft Jet Puffed brand marshmallows, Pumpkin Spice flavored mallows!!!!!!!!!
These beauties are pumpkin shaped and colored and while the taste of pumpkin is implied, I’d really call the flavor more on the side of gingerbread. But they still are delicious. I have a ton of ideas for them, but for now? I’m just poppin’ them in my mouth one by low-calorie one. Angry Baby lurves them too! Mostly she digs squeezing and crushing them between her tiny little fingers, but on the occasion the off mallow jumps into her shark maw, it’s met with a grunt of joy.
I give this Pumpkin Spice Product a solid B+
Next we have the Gas Station Pumpkin Spice Whoopie Pie!
These fools saw me coming and put a sign right by the corner stoplight they are located at. I saw it and immediately procured one. It cost 99 cents.
A small price for pumpkin spice/cream cheese icing heaven. These things are a triumph of the senses…delicious, and awe-inspiring are adjectives that come to mind.
I give these affordable, delicious delicacies an A+++
I’m sensitive to the fact that many of you might not have access to the Valero Gas Station chain and or choose to boycott the crappy company. Soooo ever the giving giver I am, here’s a recipe for Pumpkin Spice Whoopies that looks incredible.
And finally, my dear
old hag mother sent me a wonderful text yesterday morning: “Target is having a sale on, PUMPKIN SPICE KISSES!!!”
I hurried to my local Target and bought a bag. I really wanted to love these. That being said:
1. They are orange-colored white chocolate with a white chocolate-based center. The consistency out of the bag of these beauts is much like modeling clay. You’ll most likely want to put them in the fridge for 30 minutes to harden up a bit, it’s a bit off-putting otherwise.
2. The flavor you’ll either love or hate. No in-between, it’s either: “These are awesome,” or “YUCK THIS TASTES LIKE PINESOL!” I’m still deciding where I stand on the issue. I do know this, I took out a sensible 3 kisses to sample and after 2 I’m dreading and will most likely not ingest #3 for a while.
3. The Pumpkin Spice Kisses are also incredibly sweet. But at $2.50 a pop this week at Target, I suggest all my fellow PUMPKIN SPICE DIE-HARDS go out and give them a whirl, look at it this way, if they are terrible and you hate them, you’ve already got your HALLOWEEN CANDY to pass out this year!
I give these a C.
What about you? Got any pumpkin spice flavored products or recipes you wanna share? I’m all ears! I’m determined to try them all. And because I am ever the kind and selfless, giving soul I’ll document and alert you of my Pumpkin Spice Flavored finds, in the interest of science, of course!
Until then, STAY HUNGRY MY PUMPKIN SPICE LOVING PALS!
